I was invited to join a group of 23 Miami Country Day School students and staff members and director of the international programs, Glen Turf, on an immemorable mission to an orphanage in Nuevo Paraíso, Morocelí, Honduras.
Together with the students and three staff members we spent a week on work projects (our main goal was to build a wall around one of the houses) and after work and during the breaks we spent time with the children. The week was filled with work and time spent with the orphaned children who are loved and nurtured at Nuevo Paraíso.
In 2023 November The English School high school students will have the opportunity to participate in the program in Honduras with some days in Miami before and after the excursion.
