Afternoon care

The English School offers an afternoon daycare program in English at the school. The afternoon activities start after the pupil’s school day. The club is available for 1st and 2nd graders during all official school days until 5.00 p.m.

Afternoon care will be provided from August 8, 2024 to May 30, 2025.

Afternoon care activities are not provided during school holidays or on exceptional school days held on Saturdays.

In the afternoons the children are given an opportunity for free play, arts and crafts, games, sports, outdoor play and also time to do their homework. The goal is to provide a safe and friendly environment after school hours. The children are served a snack around 2 p.m. All the children taking part in activities are covered by the City’s accident insurance.

Applications for school year 2025-2026
The application period for basic education afternoon activities is March 17 – April 16, 2025. The application form and all information concerning afternoon activities is available on the website of Education Division of the City of Helsinki.
