On Friday, January 17th, the 1st graders celebrated 100 days of school. We did lots of activities related to 100.
We checked how many words, out of 100, we could read and write in English. We also wrote in English about what we will be like when we are 100, and we wrote in Finnish about our 100th birthday celebration. We found missing numbers on a 100-number square. We explored what we can build with 100 cubes of multilink and we collected 100 items.
In the gym, we had lots of fun trying 100 different movements, such as bouncing a ball 100 times, throwing into a basketball hoop 100 times and skipping 100 times.
We also looked at a 100-object gallery and thought it was hilarious to look at photographs of ourselves and what we might look like when we are 100!
We had a super fun 100th day of school!
